Since 1995, I have been a driving force in Washington’s business landscape, leveraging my expertise to coach entrepreneurs and facilitate collaborations between large corporations and small, diverse firms. My impactful advocacy has left a lasting mark with pro Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) and small business legislation, leading to the development and implementation of solutions that shaped new or revised laws, such as the Linked Deposit program, Limited Small Works Roster, general contractor construction manager (GCCM), Design Build, and job ordering contracting (JOC).
My role evolved in the Linked Deposit program, designed to assist MWBEs in accessing capital with a current lending capacity of $175 million. My work began advocating in the early 90s, then testifying as a small business owner at the state capitol over the last two decades. Additionally, I championed the Limited Small Works Roster, allowing small firms to compete on an equal footing, ensuring fair competition.
My experience ranges from large private to major government infrastructure projects, including GCCM, Design Build, and JOC, where I revised evaluation criteria for alternative works projects, impacting millions of dollars in projects annually.
My projects/contracts portfolio exceeds $3.5 billion. Over the years, my role in these projects included consulting around inclusion and technical assistance to small firms, business development services for large vendors that help capture work, and construction management services, including estimating, scheduling and inspections. This work includes large infrastructure projects like Washington State Ferries Colman Dock, multiple Sound Transit light rail stations, Lake Union Street Car, City of Seattle Combined Sewer Overflow, multiple mixed-used housing projects over 250 units, and other projects in the Pacific Northwest.
I am committed to empowering MWBEs through my activities and strong relationships with the government and its vendors. As a strategic consultant, I drive positive change, leaving an indelible mark on the business and legislative landscape.

From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for problem-solving. Today, as a senior industry advisor, I’m proud to put my love for innovation to good use. But I didn’t gain my current expertise overnight.
Over the past 24 years, I’ve honed my executive skills by serving countless public and private clients. These decades have polished my technical skills, ability to manage teams effectively, and capacity to bring clients incredible results. As is the case with any master of a field, I started as a student.
As a young adult excited to further my knowledge, I attended college and earned two bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering. Then, I received a Master of Applied Science in Transportation Engineering from Ryerson University.
I began my professional journey working as an engineer and leading a diverse portfolio of projects. My most notable contributions in this industry include providing technical expertise for projects (Freeway Systems, Buildings, Bridges, Transit, etc) in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
My expertise allowed me to quickly ascend to a position overseeing and managing large teams of professionals at various international engineering firms. During my tenure as a regional manager, I was leading teams delivering on billion-dollar infrastructure projects. This allowed me to gain the necessary skillset in delivering projects and leading departments from a financial management point of view and corporate compliance.
I always strive to bring my best to each client, offering personalized assistance and maintaining a constant commitment to excellence. This attention to detail and authentic work ethic have allowed me to forge strong and long-lasting partnerships with clients. I’ve gained invaluable experience working with diverse large engineering, construction, and consulting teams.

Driven by a Legacy of Service and a Passion for Empowerment
My life has largely been shaped by two remarkable individuals: my father and stepdad, both of whom served as colonels in the Air Force. My father’s unwavering commitment to social justice, investigating sexual and racial discrimination, instilled in me a deep sense of privilege and responsibility.
Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the impact of privilege and prejudice. A pivotal moment came at the tender age of four when I saw my cousin, adopted from Samoa, being bullied by children who had never encountered a “brown person”. This experience awakened me to the realities of discrimination, created many very hard questions and fueled my desire to make a positive difference in my best friend’s life.
My journey towards empowering others has been an evolution. Initially pursuing a career path in sports, it was much later in my career that I realized my true calling lay in helping those who lack access to resources and opportunities. For over two decades, I worked as a financial advisor, gaining valuable expertise that has proven instrumental in my current role as I help people successfully transition their businesses.

I’ve always felt a strong calling to fight for equality. And I have made it a personal priority to spread kindness and practice acceptance with the people in my life. But I wanted to do something more.
To get to where I am now, I gained valuable experience working in many industries, from retail to technology to real estate. The majority of my positions have been in administrative or management roles. Along this path, I found that I’m very detail-oriented and truly love helping people.
While working as a licensed real estate broker in Washington, I met Rahsaan Freeman. I loved his energy immediately and knew we’d work great as teammates. We stayed in touch throughout the years, and when I parted ways with my old position – there was a moment of serendipity. He and his business partner Scott, were ready to fill a project manager position at their company, Freeman Lundt. I knew this was the perfect opportunity to work together in a new, fulfilling capacity.
I stepped into a role as a project manager and have found this position incredibly fulfilling. I help make client experiences as seamless as possible. I ensure that all their needs and asks are taken care of with diligence. I follow up with all parties involved in each project to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion. I handle contracts, invoices, files, & more to coordinate a smooth experience for our clients. I work hard behind the scenes to create success stories for the inspiring individuals we serve.
One of the biggest draws that attracted me to Freeman Lundt was this concept: we all succeed together. I’ve always greatly valued a “we” over “me” mindset. I will continue doing everything I can to help people from all walks of life achieve the success they deserve. My current job empowers me to assist historically disadvantaged groups like women and people of color by ensuring these groups’ voices and concerns are heard in an inclusive space.
